Airedale recognises over 600 years’ combined service from thirty employees
Leeds, UK, November 20, 2007 -
The combined service of thirty employees, representing well over 600 years, was recognised at Airedale’s 2007 Long Service Awards presentation which saw a record number of 20, 25 and 30 Year Awards. Twenty three of the thirty awards recognised 20 or more years’ service, with four employees receiving 30 Year Awards.
Congratulating the recipients, Airedale managing director Arif Shahab (pictured foreground left) said: “The presentation is a celebration for all of you who have helped to achieve so much. Some of you were here during the very early years of Airedale with only a handful of employees, and have seen the company grow to a workforce of 400. This has only been possible through your hard work.
“A staggering 625 years service is something you should all be proud of and reflects a tremendous amount of dedication and loyalty. On behalf of the management team, I personally thank each and every one of you for your years of service. Not many companies can boast such loyalty and it is a significant contributor to why the business is as successful as it is today.”
The awards were presented by Modine Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Dean R. Zakos (pictured foreground right), who was on a visit to Airedale. Leading air conditioning manufacturer Airedale is part of the US-based Modine Group.Said Dean: “I am honoured to be part of this celebration and to be here in this room with so many people, who share such experience and dedication. You should all be proud of what you have accomplished: Airedale’s name in the marketplace, the products available and Airedale’s reputation for customer service. It is outstanding and you should all be proud of it.
“Arif has a very experienced management team and there is huge talent in this room and many opportunities to be grasped, to take this company very far. The fact that thirty employees have served 625 years with the company, says a lot about these people and those they work with and it speaks very well of Airedale. On behalf of the Modine Group I extend our congratulations and best wishes to all who have received an award and simply to say ‘thank you’ for all you do.”
