Airedale appoints product development director
Leeds, UK, February 23, 2011 -

Global air conditioning manufacturer Airedale has appointed George Hannah as product development director, leading Airedale’s expanding programme of new product development. His appointment follows the retirement of Airedale director of engineering Bill Coates last year.
George will play a key role in strengthening Airedale’s position at the forefront of precision air conditioning and chiller development, through the innovative application of new generation technology. Last autumn saw Airedale unveil five new products including four high density cooling solutions, at a major international exhibition.
Former development manager, George joined the company as a graduate engineer 10 years ago. He heads a product development team of 23, including sponsored PhD students and graduate apprentices.
Says George: “My focus will be to free up engineers’ ideas to develop and grow innovative solutions to increase data centre efficiency, to raise free-cooling potential and to harness and reclaim energy.”
