Since our modest beginnings, Modine Manufacturing Company has maintained a tradition of leadership in heat-transfer technology. Modine was founded in 1916 when Arthur B. Modine patented the Spirex radiator for tractors. To learn more about our founder, download our remembrance to A.B. Modine. In keeping with A. B. Modine's spirit of technology and innovation, a world-class vehicular wind tunnel was built in Racine in 1941 and it's still in use today. Modine Europe was established in 1990 and grew substantially in 1993 with the acquisition of Längerer & Reich, a German heat transfer company founded in 1913. This acquisition gave Modine over 150 combined years of thermal management and heat transfer experience. Today, more than 50% of our total revenues are generated outside of the U.S. We are continuously moving forward with a vision of global heat transfer leadership. This can be seen in our state-of-the-art technical centers - one in Racine, the other in Bonlanden, Germany, home of our European Headquarters. Our technical centers feature three wind tunnels to support our global customers. Today, more than 93 years and 2,400 patents later, Modine Manufacturing Company continues to move in concert with changing times. We are an integral part of the world marketplace, bringing to it a history of manufacturing creativity and integrity. | |
