National Greenhouse Manufacturers Association - The NGMA is a professional trade organization for the manufacturers and suppliers of greenhouses and greenhouse components. It's one thing to manufacture a greenhouse. It's quite another to actually build it to codes specially for a grower's needs. But it is for just that reason, the National Greenhouse Manufacturers Association membership brings together some of the most experienced and knowledgeable manufacturers in the industry.

 

American Horticultural Society - The AHS is one of the oldest national gardening organizations in the country. Since 1922, they have provided America's gardeners with the highest quality gardening and horticultural education possible. They accomplish this with the help of an impressive network of experts -- from the members of our Board of Directors, specialized Advisory Committees, National Great American Gardener Award Winners and corporate sponsors.

 

American Nursery & Landscape Association - Now in its 128th year, the American Nursery & Landscape Association is the national voice of the nursery and landscape industry. Members grow, distribute, and retail plants of all types, and design and install landscapes for residential and commercial customers. ANLA provides education, research, public relations, and representation services to members.

 

American Phytopathological Society - The APS is an international scientific organization devoted to the study of plant diseases and their control. It advances modern concepts in plant health management in agricultural, urban and forest settings. The Society was founded in 1908 and has grown from 130 charter members to nearly 5,000 plant pathologists and scientists worldwide. APS provides information on the latest developments and research advances in plant health science through its journals and its publishing arm, APS PRESS. APS advocates and participates in the exchange of plant health information with public policy makers, and the larger scientific community; and provides opportunities for scientific communication, collaboration, and professional development.

 

American Society for Horticultural Science - Founded in 1903, the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) is the largest organization dedicated to advancing all facets of horticultural research, education, and application. ASHS members (researchers, faculty and other educational personnel, extension agents, Federal and state experiment station representatives, and growers and distributors of horticultural products) continue to make significant advances in these areas, and are well-positioned to lead the rapid evolution of horticultural science through the 21st century.

 

ASCFG - Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers - The ASCFG was formed in 1988 to unite and inform growers in the production and marketing of field and greenhouse cut flowers. They provide information on growing techniques, marketing strategies, and new developments in the industry that you won’t find anywhere else. Through the ASCFG, you will get to know the top researchers, retail and wholesale buyers, suppliers, and most important, other successful cut flower growers.

 

California Cut Flower Commission - The CCFC is a non-profit public corporation formed in October 1990 by and for growers, under the laws of the State of California. The express purpose of the Commission is to promote California flowers. It was voted into being by a referendum of cut flower growers. One hundred growers qualify to pay assessments to the commission. Assessments are levied at a percentage of .005 of sales of fresh cut flowers and cut greens. Qualified growers are those whose annual sales meet or exceed $500,000.

 

Fleuroselect - Fleuroselect is the international organization for the ornamental plants industry. Its main activities include the testing, protecting and promoting of new flower varieties. Membership includes breeders, producers and distributors of ornamental varieties. The association was founded in Frankfurt, Germany on 29th May 1970 and is currently based in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Membership is either on “Full” or “Associate” basis.

 

Garden Centers of America - GCA's commitment is to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of independent retail garden centers of North America. GCA will accomplish this by being the primary forum for information, education and training that promotes the exchange of ideas, profitability and positive consumer awareness of the individual member firms.

 

Garden Writers Association - The Garden Writers Association (GWA) is an organization of over 1,800 professional communicators in the lawn and garden industry. No other organization in the industry has as much direct contact with the buying public as GWA.

 

Association of Floriculture Professionals - OFA - an Association of Floriculture Professionals - is a member-focused national organization of greenhouse growers, garden center operators, retail and wholesale florists, interior plantscapers, green industry suppliers, students, and educators. OFA's mission is to support and promote floriculture professionals through lifelong learning, career enhancement, and public awareness.

 

Perennial Plant Association - A professional trade association dedicated to improving the perennial plant industry by providing education to enhance the production, promotion and utilization of perennial plants.

Southern Nursery Association - The Southern Nursery Association (SNA) has been building a brighter future for the horticulture industry since 1899. OFA Short Course - The OFA Short Course is recognized as the premier educational and trade show event in North America. The 2006 OFA Short Course will be the 76th event – featuring nearly 1,330 trade show booths, approximately 500 exhibiting companies, and more than 130 educational sessions. It will attract an estimated 10,000 floriculture professionals to Columbus, Ohio this July 9 to 12.
