AIAC Air Conditioning South Africa will be exhibiting a selection from its range of award-winning solutions at this year’s Frigair Exhibition (3-5 June 2015, Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa). Supported by leading industry partners, the exhibition is reportedly Africa’s only dedicated heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and energy trade show.
Part of the Airedale International group of companies, AIAC has established a reputation for quality British/South African engineered cooling solutions that deliver industry-leading energy efficiency, reduced operating costs and maximum resilience.
The ability to tailor systems to unique customer demands at AIAC’s Johannesburg facility means customers benefit from fast delivery lead times and competitive pricing in local currency, removing the instability associated with exchange rate fluctuations. With a local presence since 1987, AIAC continues to invest in home-grown expertise, ensuring customers have access to a team of skilled engineers able to provide the highest levels of technical support.
On show at Frigair will be the SmartCool™ (11-233 kW) and EasiCool™ (6-64 kW) precision air conditioning (PAC) units which provide extremely precise, reliable climate control in critical environments. AIAC will also be exhibiting the Ecotel™ (5-32 kW) free-cooling fan box which delivers up to 90% energy cost savings on cooling telecom cabins, switchgear and equipment rooms.
AIAC’s ACIS™ Building Management System (BMS) controls software provides a highly graphical, simple-to-use tool to manage cooling and other building services, from any manufacturer, in a single, integrated system across multiple sites and communication protocols, providing 24/7 remote monitoring, optimising system operation and improving decision-making.
AIAC is also now able to offer the low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant R1234ze in its TurboChill™ & TurboChill™ FreeCool chiller. The combination of the TurboChill’s centrifugal compressor part-load efficiency, modulated control, optimised head pressure control and potential for concurrent free-cooling, with the addition of R1234ze which has a 100-year GWP lower than 1, better than CO2, makes the TurboChill™ a highly sustainable cooling alternative.
AIAC’s installed based includes Barclays Absa Bank , Exxaro, First National Bank, Ford, Google, Liberty Life and MTN, with a large number of high profile clients extending throughout the African continent. The manufacturer is also behind the award-winning large scale data centre project for telecommunications giant Vodacom Pty Ltd. The fully equipped and commissioned modular data centres, which deliver energy-saving full or partial free-cooling for up to 99% of the year (Johannesburg temperatures), are designed to be quickly rolled out in a wide range of locations and are highly engineered to withstand the many environmental challenges presented by the South African climate.
