Customer Update: So much achieved so quickly
Date: 13th September 2013 | Posted by: Airedale Team | Posted in: Press release
One week on from the fire at our Rawdon site we would like to thank everyone for your continued support. From our employees, customers and local residents to our suppliers, fellow manufacturers and media partners, your well wishes have been warmly received.
Among the many suppliers who are pulling out the stops to help us, we would like to mention Barclays Bank, G4S and the Chris Wright Group for your help clearing the way for the Emergency Services last Friday and further storage and shipment of finished goods from site.
We are also pleased to announce that we are already working with Darnton EGS on early plans for our new factory and offices.
Special thanks also go to McNair Utilities who have laid 150m of pipework to secure water to the offices and the ARMS Centre which treats hundreds of local MS patients from our site every year.
We are indebted to the local BBC and ITV stations for your help in broadcasting clear and concise communications to employees and the local community, and to our trade press partners including ACR News, Cooling Post and MBS for your supportive messages to the industry.
To local residents, Leeds City Council, Stuart Andrew MP, MEP Edward McMillan-Scott and other partners in the region, we would also like to thank you for your continued support.
It is true to say we have benefitted hugely from being part of Modine Manufacturing, with Matt McBurney, VP of the Commercial Products Group, flying over this week to show his support. The Modine and Airedale IT teams have been working 24/7 to reinstate systems as quickly as possible. We would like to apologise to anyone who is experiencing difficulties in contacting us; please be assured we are working hard to return to normal communications as swiftly as we can.
Thanks also to colleagues throughout the world at Airedale’s bases in South Africa, Dubai and Moscow.
Things are moving rapidly, and our focus for next week is to prepare our new production and office facility in central Leeds so that we can install ourselves as quickly as possible. Our Controls and Service Divisions continue to operate ‘business as usual’ and the further good news is that the ground floor of the existing site, which includes sheet metal and the paint plant, has now been certified as safe to work in.
We are grateful to each and every one of you in the Airedale ‘family’ who are all determined to see an Airedale that is world-class and better than ever as we continue to cement our place as industry market leader. With your support, we will continue to bounce back stronger.
