Applications Team Leader – Commercial and Industrial

The Opportunity

Due to continued company growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an Applications Team leader to work as part of the Commercial and Industrial Business unit reporting to the General Manager.

The Role

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • To support the growth and development of the sales team through provision of quotes and delivery of order information for customer services and manufacturing
  • Dealing with customer technical sales enquiries
  • Order management and processing
  • Communication with customer services and manufacturing
  • Prioritisation and management of quotes to ensure they align with commercial opportunities
  • Management of existing and the development of new processes to ensure information is communicated effectively and suitably documented
  • Manage workload distribution within the application team to ensure quotes are issued in a timely manner and accurate
  • Setting of KPI’s, development and training of the application team
  • Respond to any external sales enquiries
  • Liaising with third party suppliers at specification stage
  • Produce reports on Applications performance

Skills/Experience

  • Engineering knowledge to a minimum of HND or degree
  • 3 years plus Application Engineering experience.
  • Team management experience
  • Ability to work with different groups within Airedale
  • Have a 80/20 mindset
  • SAP Experience
  • Problem solving skills to overcome challenging obstacles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
