The Opportunity
Admin support for the Airedale shipping department. Alongside this the successful candidate will be trained within our Sales Order Processing department, providing support in busy periods or to cover holidays.
The Role
The role has responsibility for providing administration support both pre and post shipment for orders that are shipped to customers within and outside of the UK.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Tracking shipments to keep customers informed of progress.
- Obtain proof of export post-shipment to support VAT returns.
- Scanning and filing export documentation and proof of deliveries.
- Assist with checking and passing off invoices.
- Provide freight quotations.
- Processing simple product sales orders including the relevant additional items
- Provide order acknowledgements and/or proforma invoices to the customers nominated contact.
- Change delivery dates on order, following parts shortages, customer changes
- Deal with queries from customers and sales engineers
Skills/Experience
The successful candidate should have the following skills:
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, both internally and externally
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Candidates with experience transport and logistics is preferable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Experience using MS Office is essential. SAP is desirable.
Training will be provided for the right applicant to develop the skills and knowledge required for the position.
