Manufacturer of custom-built air handling units, Barkell, part of the Airedale group of companies, has launched its new website (www.barkell.co.uk). The site is designed to provide a better user experience for customers and business partners with a wider range of tools and resources as a basis for more informed unit selection, with a focus on simplicity, reliability and fast download speeds.
The new website makes it easier to access the enhanced content through simpler navigation and improved search tools. With the rapidly increasing trend towards the use of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to access the internet, the site has also been optimised for the most widely used mobile applications and browsers. The site contains extensive product information on Barkell's range of high performance air handling units (AHUs) including technical data, component selection, images, videos and case studies. The improved content, together with the intuitive navigation and architecture, showcase Barkell's significant experience across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, retail, leisure and IT.
The homepage Twitter and news feeds also make www.barkell.co.uk an excellent source of authoritative industry news.
The Consett-based AHU manufacturer became part of the Airedale group of companies in March 2014. The collaboration between the two cooling and ventilation specialists has already resulted in a significant number of opportunities including the supply of combined heating and refrigeration units to the 8100 square metre Exhibition Centre Liverpool, and the launch of the AireFlow™ indirect AHU which, based on London ambient temperatures, is capable of achieving ASHRAE recommended conditions using 100% free-cooling.
Barkell Director, Mick Parker, said: “Barkell always strives to be an innovative business and we believe that the new website, with its simplified navigation, extended content and fully interactive design, provides us with another very valuable tool to help us support our customers more effectively. With their significant knowledge and skills, our people are as important as ever in the process but the website provides customers with more choice in how they interact with us and allows them to begin the process of specifying a bespoke designed and sized air handler to meet and exceed their ventilation requirements.”
