Meet the Sales Engineer - Jamshad Padanchery (Airedale Middle East)

We asked Airedale's Dubai-based Sales Engineer, Jamshad Padanchery a few questions to get to know more about him and his role at our Middle East office:

How or why did you get into air conditioning?

I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in India. My plan was to eventually work in the UAE where I was born. There were two main paths I could follow after my studies; Oil & Gas or HVAC. The first call I received for an interview was from a HVAC company, and I was selected. I spent over two years there, then moved to Airedale based at their office in Dubai.

What do you enjoy most about being an Engineer?

I enjoy travelling, meeting people, discussions across the table & proposing our solutions to customer requirements.

What inspires you?

My increased responsibilities and successful outcomes from projects worked on from enquiry stage to the final order.

What do you think are the top three characteristics or traits that every Mechanical Engineer should have?

As a Sales Engineer, you should be technically sound, with a positive demeanour and dedication to work.

What is your favourite movie and why?

The Fast & Furious series and Tokyo Drift. Because I’m crazy about cars!

What type of music do you really enjoy?

Instrumental, mainly Violin.

How can someone start a conversation/ break the ice with you?

Just a smile is more than enough for me to respond with a “Hi”.

What is the best professional/ life advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t stress, as any issue can be resolved either one way or another. Also, don’t neglect suggestions and advice from others, because you won’t always be right.
