Data Center Cooling – Mississippi Facility Update
[v
Following the successful commencement of deliveries from our chiller plant in Rockbridge, Virginia, deliveries of data center cooling products have started from the second Airedale by ModineTM US data center plant, over 700 miles away in Grenada Mississippi.
36 AireWallTM fan walls have shipped from the plant to date, making their way by road to client Corscale’s Gainesville Crossing Data Campus where they will be installed in 9MW data halls as part of Building 1 of the eventual 300MW development.
The fan walls are based on the European AireWall product, but have been adapted to the US market and successfully gained UL certification following recent testing in the plant.
The Grenada plant is also following Rockbridge’s lead by installing a test facility for data center cooling products. The new test lab will be able to measure air flow and will feature glycol test capability, enabling R&D testing, production end of line testing and client witness tests.
At the launch of the partnership, Nic Bustamante, Chief Technology Officer at Corscale said, “We selected Airedale by Modine because we wanted something that mirrors our dedication to deliver sustainability at scale. We wanted to work with an established brand that our customers can trust. Airedale by Modine products are renowned for their innovative approach and commitment to efficiency, which in turn reduces waste, and we were impressed by the work they have done across the world with other data centers.”
