In-region production of Airedale by Modine^TM solutions serves growing data center industry demand

Modine® (NYSE:MOD), a diversified global leader in thermal management technology and solutions, officially opened its new 100,000 ft². facility in Chennai, India. The event marked the beginning of full-scale, in-region production of Airedale by Modine^TM data center cooling equipment and a strategic positioning to meet accelerated demand from data center customers across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

“Launching our Chennai facility is a significant milestone in our global growth strategy,” said Eric McGinnis, President, Climate Solutions at Modine. “The data center market in India and across the region is growing rapidly. Establishing in-region manufacturing strengthens our ability to serve APAC data center customers with speed, precision, and locally tailored solutions.”

The launch event featured remarks from senior leadership, a tree-planting ceremony, and the unveiling of the first locally manufactured unit—the AireWall ONE™ fan wall. Completed on schedule, the unit features 70% locally procured components, and the team is actively working to increase local sourcing. More ranges are being incorporated into the production schedule to match increasing data center demand across the Asia Pacific region, which analysts believe is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13%.

The state-of-the-art facility in Chennai complements Modine’s recently announced investment to expand U.S. production, reinforcing the company’s strategy to serve high-growth markets.
